Is Breakfast Usually Included at a Guest House?

Bed and breakfast rates should include breakfast by definition, but the word covers everything from a croissant and coffee to a full cooked plate. Before booking, ask what is actually served, at what times, and whether it is included for every room type on the property.

At Dunton a full buffet breakfast is included in all rates, inclusive of VAT — eggs, bacon, pork sausages and the trimmings, with fruit, cereals, yogurt and good coffee alongside. Breakfast hours are flexible, so an early meeting or a late morning is easy to arrange. Dietary requirements — halaal preferences, vegetarian, gluten-free, no dairy — are easy to accommodate when you mention them at booking.

Our self-catering apartments are included too: even with your own kitchen, the full buffet breakfast is part of your rate if you want it, and hours stay flexible around your plans.
